Interning with the Koger Center for the Arts
For students interested in a career working in the entertainment industry, the Koger Center for the Arts offers various opportunities for interns to gain experience in several different areas of our organization. Internship duties may include:
- Working with the building director to assist with contracts, promotor communication, collecting and organizing statistical data, meeting notes, and other opportunities as they may arise.
- Working with the marketing director to update and maintain social media, taking photos and interacting with patrons, creating content, and other opportunities as they may arise.
- Working under the direction of the house manager to take tickets, greet patrons during events, usher, make announcements and other opportunities as they may arise.
- Working in the box office under the direction of the box office manager and assistant manager to learn to sell tickets and deal with patrons both in person and on the phone.
While these are the four primary focuses of the Koger Center internships, there may be other opportunities that could arise based on the interests and talents of the student.
