Southeastern Piano Festival
June 11 - June 17

For one week every June, the Southeastern Piano Festival (SEPF) transforms the University of South Carolina School of Music and the city of Columbia into a major cultural destination that draws in audiences and young piano talent from across the United States. The Southeastern Piano Festival embraces a multi-faceted personality.

Twenty of the most accomplished pre-college pianists on the piano scene today take part in a rigorous program that includes daily lessons with University of South Carolina piano faculty, master classes with guest artists, and up to five hours of practice a day. The week’s events culminate with the Arthur Fraser International Piano Competition, adjudicated by a distinguished panel of judges. Winners of the competition receive cash awards and the opportunity to perform with the South Carolina Philharmonic. Visit SoutheasternPianoFestival.com for a full listing of masterclasses, lectures and public concerts.

For music lovers, SEPF offers nightly concerts by a rich lineup of world-class pianists including Ying Li, Roman Rabinovich, Anthony de Mare and the legendary John O’Conor. Tickets for these concerts are $20 general admission. All concerts are in the USC School of Music Recital Hall. No livestream or on-demand viewing is available.
