Regular Columbia music scene members from the 90's and 2000's return with a new band, Grand Republic, fronted by guitarist and songwriter John Furr and joined with his long-time musical partner Troy Tague behind the drum kit. Grand Republic's music focuses on layering dense textures of lush and dissonant guitar tones, psychedelic swirling dreamscapes, simple vocal hooks and mid-tempo rhythms.
The group includes Furr (vocals, guitar), Tague (vocal, drums), Jonathan Bradley (guitar, percussion, electronics), Craig Keeney (bass), and Jay Barry (keyboards and guitar).
