Koger Apprentice Program: Wicked Technical Load-In

Join us in the audience as the largest Broadway Blockbuster in history comes to town! Koger Apprentices are invited to exclusively witness a portion of the technical load-in process as the stage is set for the untold true story of the witches of Oz.

This season we are excited to present Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad, produced by the acclaimed Virginia Repertory Theatre. In this stirring drama with music, students will share in the joys, sorrows and challenges Harriet Tubman faced while courageously freeing herself, and hundreds of others, from the bonds of slavery.

Koger Apprentice Program: The Magradeys: Life on Broadway

Thursday, February 20, 2020 - 4:30 p.m.

Did you know that the Assistant Director of the Koger Center, Karen Magradey, has danced on Broadway with her husband Jack? Join the Magradeys for anecdotes and a Q&A detailing their lives on Broadway, including time in the original cast of Cats!

Classic Productions presents Charlotte's Web

Charlotte’s Web is based on E.B. White’s loving story of the friendship between a pig named Wilbur and a little gray spider named Charlotte. Wilbur has a problem: how to avoid winding up as pork chops! Charlotte, a fine writer and true friend, hits on a plan to fool Farmer Zuckerman. She will create a “miracle.” Spinning the words “Some Pig” in her web, Charlotte weaves a solution which not only makes Wilbur a prize pig but also ensures his place on the farm forever.  

This treasured tale, featuring madcap and endearing farm animals, explores bravery, selfless love and the true meaning of friendship.

Koger Apprentice Program: Koger Center Jazz

Tuesday, March 17, 2020 - 6:00 p.m.

Attend the pre-concert sound check followed by a Q&A session with renowned UofSC Jazz faculty members as they prepare to play a concert featuring the music of The Beatles! Tickets to the performance following the Q&A will be available to Koger Apprentices at the $10 student price.

Koger Apprentice Program: An American In Paris

Koger Apprentices are invited to attend the Broadway touring production of An American in Paris with a preshow talk on modern marketing  in the arts featuring the Koger Center Marketing Director, Chip Wade. A student ticket should be purchased to attend the performance.
