Koger Center Presents - An American in Paris - Movie Night at Segra Park
Sunday, October 18, 2020 - 5:30 p.m.

We are proud to announce that the Koger Center will partner with Segra Park, home of the Columbia Fireflies, to create an evening centered around the presentation of the 1951 film version of An American in Paris on Sunday, October 18. The evening will begin with a concert by the ColaJazz Little Big Band performing a set of music that will include Gershwin tunes in front of a backdrop of historical films of Paris in the 1930’s produced by the Moving Image Research Collections at the University of South Carolina. The Broadway tour of An American in Paris was scheduled to perform at the Koger Center in April, 2020, however, the tour was cancelled due to COVID-19. We are excited to bring this event to you so that you can enjoy an evening with the film version of this vibrant musical. This is the original 1951 film version of An American in Paris, not to be confused with the Broadway musical that was previously scheduled to perform at the Koger Center. This performance is not associated with Broadway in Columbia, if you still have tickets for the live show, they will not be accepted for this film.

Tickets are $12.50 in the stands or $60 for a table of 4 and are available at

5:00 p.m. – Gates open

5:30 p.m. – Concert begins

6:00 p.m. – Film begins
