Holiday Art Fair

The Koger Center for the Arts is aware that COVID-19 has effected the ability of local artists to display and sell their work this year. As a member of the Vista Guild, we have decided to participate in Vista Lights 2020 by hosting a Holiday Art Fair that will offer artists an opportunity to sell some of their work. In an effort to reduce large groups, Vista Lights will be a week-long  celebration consisting of smaller events held November 16-22. The Koger Center Holiday Art Fair will be held in the lobby of the Koger Center on Saturday, November 21, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Philip Mullen Exhibition Tours

In addition to the artist's vendor spaces, we currently have an exhibition of new works by Philip Mullen on display in our Upstairs Gallery, Mr. Mullin will be conducting small tours of this exhibition. There will be four tours during Vista Lights week, Monday, November 16 at 5:30, Thursday, November 19 at 5:30, and Saturday, November 21 at 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. The tours will accommodate a maximun of 14 participants and you may reserve a space by calling (803) 777-7500.

Some of the Participating Artists

Susan Lenz is a professional studio artist who uses needle and thread for self-expression. She works to articulate the accumulated memory inherent in discarded things, seeking a partnership with her materials, their purposes, values, and familiar associations. For the Holiday Art Fair, Susan will be showing fiber vessels, wooden spool ornaments and an assortment of small, framed works priced for gift giving.

About Vista Lights

Join us for the 35th Annual Vista Lights! This is the neighborhood's signature open house which has ushered in the holidays in Columbia for more than 30 years. Things look different this year, but we would like to celebrate the holidays with you. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Vista Guild will not be hosting a tree lighting ceremony on Thursday. Instead the businesses of the Vista district are excited to host you for a week of specials and events. Visit your favorite restaurants, experience the arts and shop for holidays.

More than 60 galleries, shops, and restaurants safely open their doors to showcase their holiday treasures and delicious dished. COVID-19 protocols are in place at each of our businesses to ensure that you are having a safe experience. Make your plans and reservations now!
